We are looking for a mixed-methods Senior Researcher to join the Games research team within Netflix. This person will focus on guiding the content and product strategy for our nascent Kids Games vertical. At its core, this role will design and execute foundational research (qualitative and quantitative) at the intersection of Games + Kids entertainment, surfacing consumer insights to inform various aspects of game development, product UX, market positioning, and more.
In this role, you will:
Explore Kids gaming worldwide, uncovering opportunities for Netflix to innovate and differentiate within the category.
Apply your research expertise to better understand the needs of young players and their parents/guardians.
Provide insights support for both Games Studio (content strategy, IP analysis & integration, transmedia) and Games Product needs (product UX research, information architecture, trust and safety, etc.)
Partner closely with Games senior leadership and pertinent partner teams (Games Studio (content), Games Finance & Strategy, Product Design, Product Management, Data Science and Engineering, etc.)
Drive results into impact, synthesizing and communicating insights throughout the organization (including executive leadership) with clear, compelling deliverables.
Bring vision to a developing space and a rapidly evolving space, identifying the root question(s) to solve for and how to unearth insights that will inform key business decisions.
What we’re looking for:
6+ years of hands-on experience conducting primary research in games, entertainment, or tech.
Preferred: Experience supporting 0-to-1 product development with insights / UX research
Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research with younger audiences (10 and under) and their parents.
Preferred: Experience in product UX research with kids/parents, including working with interactive prototypes, concepts, wireframes, etc.
University Degree in Social Sciences preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Proficient in presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience socializing insights at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $130,000-470,000.
