Senior Product Manager
Job Description

At Faculty, we transform organisational performance through safe, impactful and human-centric AI.
With more than a decade of experience, we provide over 350 global customers with software, bespoke AI consultancy, and Fellows from our award winning Fellowship programme.
Our expert team brings together leaders from across government, academia and global tech giants to solve the biggest challenges in applied AI.
Should you join us, you’ll have the chance to work with, and learn from, some of the brilliant minds who are bringing Frontier AI to the frontlines of the world.
Why now?
We're experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a Senior Product Manager to provide leadership and delivery excellence to our growing product team. And be at the forefront of high impact and mission critical AI transformation programmes that aim to improve our Energy Transition and Environment Services in the UK.
The role:
As a Senior Product Manager in the Energy Transition & Environment team at Faculty, you will be focused on serving the needs of our customers across the energy and infrastructure sectors, applying AI to solve some of the most urgent and complex challenges in tackling climate change.
This is an intellectually demanding role that requires strong analytical skills, exceptional judgement, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. You’ll be solving high-stakes problems — often for the first time — in fast-changing markets, and you’ll need to do so with both technical fluency and commercial insight.
Leveraging your experience of AI software product delivery methodologies, you’ll play a leading role in shaping the product development approach and mindset within the business unit. You can expect high levels of delivery responsibility, customer exposure, and business development involvement from day one, as well as the opportunity to contribute directly to our growth plans.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and deliver AI-powered products from discovery through to live deployment, driving agile ceremonies and ensuring delivery excellence.
Accountable for the delivery of multiple products, managing competing priorities and complex project portfolios simultaneously.
Working closely with stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and operational realities, shaping phased delivery approaches that maximise value while balancing sustainability of delivery.
Building trusted, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders in energy and infrastructure, earning credibility through deep sector understanding and consistent delivery of impactful outcomes.
Playing a key role in growing and shaping the product community at Faculty — setting delivery standards, defining best practices, and embedding a culture of product excellence.
Supporting the growth of accounts, identifying new opportunities in partnership with the Business Development Director, and contributing to proposals and pitches.
Mentoring and developing team members, helping them grow their product management skills and realise their potential.
What we’re looking for:
A successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of AI and/or software product management, with strong preference for candidates with domain expertise in the energy value chain — such as regulated utilities, renewables, batteries, energy supply, energy policy, or system operation.
To succeed in this role, you'll need demonstrable experience in some of the following:
8+ years of Product Management experience, delivering digital products end-to-end in an agile environment. Experience within a consultancy is preferred, though we also welcome applicants from product-led organisations and industry.
A strong track record of product development from the ground up, bringing structure to ill-defined problems, shaping strategy, and delivering iterative value through proofs of concept to fully scaled solutions.
Experience delivering AI/ML products, with a strong grasp of data science concepts and engineering principles — able to identify technical dependencies, navigate risks, and contribute to technical solution design.
Exceptional stakeholder management, able to engage with and influence decision-makers through data-driven insights, managing multiple priorities and perspectives effectively.
Experience in feature prioritisation and trade-offs, ensuring product decisions balance business impact, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, align them around a shared product vision, and foster a collaborative, creative, and inclusive working environment.
A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to operate confidently in ambiguity, alongside a passion for continuous learning and delivering meaningful impact.
Experience mentoring and supporting the professional development of junior product managers and delivery team members.
What we can offer you:
The Faculty team is diverse and distinctive, and we all come from different personal, professional and organisational backgrounds. We all have one thing in common: we are driven by a deep intellectual curiosity that powers us forward each day.
