Job Description

As a Senior People Data Analyst on Optiver’s People Data Team, you will operate as a trusted senior individual contributor, partnering closely with stakeholders across Europe and globally to solve complex people data questions.

While you will act as a key point of contact for local stakeholders in Europe, this role operates within a global, transatlantic people data model, where team members support analytics and reporting across offices and regions. You will take ownership of high-impact work, guide stakeholders toward the right questions and solutions, and help mature how people data is used to inform decision-making across the firm.

This role is designed to provide senior analytical coverage on the team and to take meaningful ownership off the Global People Data Lead.

What you'll do

People Analytics & Reporting (Global Model)

  • Analyze and interpret data across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, workforce composition, mobility, performance, compensation, and retention.
  • Contribute to and maintain global dashboards, recurring reports, and ad hoc analyses used by senior leadership.
  • Support local, regional, and global reporting needs within a shared team model where work is distributed across offices.
  • Communicate insights clearly and concisely, tailoring depth and framing to the audience.

Data Platforms & Tooling Evolution

  • Partner with data engineering and platform teams as Workday and Greenhouse data are ingested into Databricks and additional people data sources are added over time.
  • Help translate business questions into scalable analytical approaches, applying strong judgment about when advanced tooling is necessary versus when simpler solutions are more effective.
  • Ensure continuity, usability, and stakeholder trust as reporting and analytics evolve during periods of technical change.
  • Continue to leverage strong Excel-based analysis alongside modern data platforms as appropriate.

Ownership & Ways of Working

  • Take ownership of defined people data domains, recurring deliverables, or initiatives, with accountability for quality and outcomes.
  • Help evolve team ways of working, intake processes, prioritization, and documentation as the function continues to scale.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, streamline reporting, and reduce manual effort.
  • Support enhancements to HR and recruiting systems and their downstream reporting.

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, people analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor, owning complex work with minimal direction.
  • Strong experience partnering with business leaders and HR stakeholders to translate questions into structured, actionable analyses.
  • Sound analytical judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity working with modern data platforms or warehouses (e.g., Databricks or similar), particularly in partnership with data engineering or platform teams.
  • Comfortable learning new tools with a focus on improving decision-making, not technical complexity for its own sake.
  • Clear, confident communicator able to synthesize data into insights and recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or related field.
