The Sr. Director, Enterprise Solutions AI Leader, provides strategic leadership for Artificial Intelligence across Enterprise Solutions. Reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Solutions, this role partners closely with senior technology leaders and business stakeholders across Expert Functions, Web Properties, and Enterprise Data. The focus is on identifying high-impact AI opportunities, guiding investment decisions, and influencing enterprise-wide transformation. The role emphasizes strategy, thought leadership, and executive engagement rather than hands-on execution, and includes frequent interaction with Nasdaq’s Management Committee and senior executives.
Expert Functions include Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Risk and Regulatory. Web Properties are Nasdaq’s externally facing digital platforms, including Nasdaq.com, Nasdaq Trader, and Nasdaq Trade Reports. Enterprise Data refers to a new enterprise capability built on Databricks technology that serves as the foundation for analytics and AI across Nasdaq.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide enterprise-level thought leadership on Artificial Intelligence and maintain a strong understanding of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Identify and prioritize AI opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, organizational readiness, and data availability, with a consistent focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Guide build versus buy decisions using Nasdaq’s Return on Invested Capital framework to balance strategic value, risk, and long-term enterprise benefit.
  • Advise senior leaders on AI strategy, investment tradeoffs, and transformation priorities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, data strategy, and regulatory expectations.
  • Engage with vendors, platform providers, and external partners to assess solution maturity and determine alignment with Nasdaq’s needs.
  • Promote responsible AI adoption by influencing governance, ethical considerations, and risk management practices.
  • Lead discussions and present strategy to senior executives, including members of Nasdaq’s Management Committee and the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Enable and influence delivery teams through strategic direction and prioritization without direct ownership of execution.

Experience:

  • Significant experience leading or advising enterprise-level transformation initiatives where Artificial Intelligence, data, or advanced analytics delivered meaningful business outcomes.
  • Experience in a management consulting environment, driving transformational change, is preferred but not required, particularly for roles involving executive advisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at an Assistant Vice President level or equivalent senior leadership role within complex organizations.
  • Proven experience identifying and shaping AI opportunities by balancing expected business value with feasibility, maturity, and organizational readiness.
  • Experience guiding build versus buy decisions using structured financial and strategic evaluation approaches, including Return on Invested Capital principles.
  • Background working across business domains such as Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Risk, Marketing, Sales, digital platforms, and enterprise data environments.
  • Comfortable presenting to and engaging with senior executive audiences, including CEO and Management Committee level stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence capabilities, limitations, and risks, with the ability to translate complexity into practical guidance.
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills, with confidence leading discussions with senior leaders.
  • Well-developed change management capability, including the ability to build momentum, address resistance, and sustain transformation.
  • Sound judgment related to governance, ethics, and responsible AI adoption.
  • Excels at operating in fast-moving and ambiguous environments, providing clarity and direction as priorities evolve.

This position will be located in New York or Philadelphia, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (at least 3 days a week in office, subject to change), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $293,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
