What you'll do...

Position: Senior Data Scientist

Work Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089

Duties: Design custom Deep Learning Neural Network architecture and train to achieve high precision and recall for large scale data problems. Fine-tune foundation Large Language Models using RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) on large scale GPU cluster. Build custom Deep Learning algorithms for training large scale data models. Adapt DL Models for production high throughput and low latency requirements. Apply Data Science and NLP methods in solving large scale retail problems like Product Matching and Attribute Extraction. Design and develop Machine Learning Pipelines for training data curation, model training, and deployment. Work on model periodic maintenance and monitoring. Support models in production that process millions of catalogue items per day. Perform data analysis and preliminary model development by querying the data using SQL and build the proof of concept for the feasibility of an idea. Conduct research into deep learning and machine learning problems through literature search.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 3 years of experience in an analytics or related field. 

Skills required: Experience designing custom deep learning neural network architecture and training them to achieve high precision and recall for large scale IoT/Retail datasets using TensorFlow/Keras and PyTorch on GPU clusters. Experience applying OpenCV and working on architectures, including DeepLab and PointNet, to build intelligent computer vision systems for image segmentation, object recognition, and spatial analysis in real-world environments. Experience developing custom deep learning algorithms based on Recurrent Neural Networks and Convolutional Neural Networks for large scale data. Experience fine-tuning deep learning models using Reinforcement Learning techniques to optimize performance for specific tasks. Experience conducting research and evaluating algorithms and methodologies from academic literature and applying them to address real-world problems. Experience developing end-to-end machine learning pipelines for automated training, evaluation, and selection using Python and Java. Experience optimizing Machine and Deep learning models for GPU/CPU environments, focusing on memory efficiency and caching techniques to enhance performance. Experience with machine learning model deployment and post-release monitoring using MLflow and Google Vertex AI. Experience developing and deploying supervised and unsupervised machine learning models for Predictive Analytics and Anomaly Detection Use Cases. Experience performing data manipulation and exploratory data analysis using SQL, Scikit Learn, and Pandas. Experience using data visualization libraries including Tableau, Matplotlib, and Seaborn. Experience leveraging PySpark and Apache Hive for large scale data processing and curating ML datasets in a distributed computing environment. Experience driving projects by understanding business requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience working in cloud technology: AWS, Vertex AI, and GCP. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $171,337/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
