Your Role at SIXT

• You lead the data science efforts behind planning and optimizing SIXT’s rental car fleet.
• You guide and mentor a team of 2-3 data scientists to deliver high-impact solutions.
• You act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, helping them leverage data for strategic decision-making.
• You develop explainable long-term demand forecasts that drive fleet planning and investment strategies.
• You build optimization and simulation models to support data-driven fleet steering decisions.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams (including business, engineering, and product) to bring your solutions to production.

 

Your Skills Matter

• You bring a strong track record in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Advanced Optimization techniques, with bonus points for expertise in Revenue Management or Operations Research.
• You are highly proficient in Python and cloud-based ecosystems, preferably AWS, leveraging scalable, production-ready solutions.
• You have hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in real-world environments.
• You demonstrate a growth mindset, with a passion for Decision Intelligence, AI-driven solutions, and solving complex, high-impact business challenges.
• You excel at stakeholder engagement, data storytelling, and championing a data-driven culture across the organization.
• You are fluent in English and thrive in fast-paced, international, and cross-functional teams.
