This position is to take on a high-impact role within the Data Insights org of Coupang Advertising and to helps us deliver on our team’s mission to “Be the go-to source for advertising effectiveness in retail media”.

Duties: ​

As Senior Data Analyst at Coupang Ads, your main responsibilities are the following:     

• Use Coupang’s proprietary data to surface insights on product research and shopping trends related to different product categories and/or seasonal events
• Use storytelling to effectively communicate the insights to internal stakeholders, to external participants of online webinars, of offline events and/or when publishing the insights to the Coupang Ads website
• Partner with internal stakeholders for identifying the top insight needs of our advertising clients as well as for driving adoption of the insights by Sales for their client-facing conversations
• Effectively collaborate with analysts in your immediate team as well as the broader org for knowledge/ best practice sharing as well as joint projects

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree or higher in relevant majors such as mathematics, statistics, etc.
• More than 5 years of data analysis and practical experience
• Someone who is skilled in data processing/extraction/analysis/reporting using SQL + (R or Python)
• Someone who has experience in establishing and verifying hypotheses using various analysis techniques, solving problems by making logical inferences and deriving insights based on the results
• Someone who has experience leading projects by collaborating with various related departments and taking actions such as data-based communication and proposals based on their own analysis results

Preferred Qualifications:

• Those who have experience using data visualization tools, in particular Tableau
• Anyone with experience in business consulting based on data analysis
• Someone who can speak business English
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
