    You will own the build of payments infrastructure for our millions of users. You will work with our Product Engineering, Growth and Finance teams to ensure successful monetization of our products & seamless experience for our users.
    The pay range for this position in California is $180,000 - $250,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. We also offer competitive equity packages in the form of stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan.

    Role & Responsibilities

  • Design systems that provide a seamless and intuitive payment experience for users on both web and mobile platforms.
  • Architect systems to support rapid scaling and high availability, ensuring that billing operations remain unaffected during peak usage or growth spurts.
  • Work closely with engineering, finance, and growth teams to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into the billing system.
  • Implement and monitor automated notifications for payment confirmations, subscription renewals, and failed transactions.
  • Implement analytics tools to monitor performance and trends and to inform business strategy
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual intervention in billing processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Establish processes for quick resolution of billing-related issues reported by customers or internal teams
  • Optimize payment processing to ensure transactions are fast, secure, and reliable across all platforms
  • Build resilient systems guarding against payment fraud and other common financial risks

    Experience

  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with substantial experience in payments and consumer products
  • Strong python skills and deep understanding of end to end backend systems, databases, authorization.
  • Experience with JavaScript and React for front-end development, and proficiency in Python or any backend language, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn across the stack.
  • Prior experience working in startup environments, either as a founder or an early-stage engineer.
  • Prior work experience working with user facing API’s.
  • Please note this role is not meant for recent grads.
