Senior AI Software Engineer, Pricing & Promotions Science

Amazon's Pricing & Promotions Science organization is seeking an ambitious, hands-on Senior AI Software Engineer to develop and scale our rapid experimentation & analytics science platform and tool suite for the Generative AI era. We are looking for a talented, organized, and customer-focused technologist to effectively partner with our scientists, data & analytics engineers, product managers, and dependency teams within Pricing, Promotions, and across Amazon.

This role requires an individual with excellent technical leadership skills, intuitive business acumen, ability to effectively operate autonomously, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We are looking for an experienced engineer who is a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Build strong collaborations. Partner with product, engineering, and science teams within Pricing & Promotions to successfully deploy machine learning and generative AI solutions at Amazon scale
- Mitigate Risks. Navigate cross-functional and cross-org dependencies risks, and make appropriate trade-offs weighing value vs time to market
- Innovate & Deliver. Effectively deliver complex software systems & tools at the intersection of rapidly evolving science, planet-scale data, and distributed engineering.
- Stay informed. Establish mechanisms to stay up to date on latest scientific & techincal advancements in machine learning, LLMs, agentic AI, probabilistic forecasting, and realtime multi-objective optimization techniques. Identify opportunities to apply learnings in improving the efficiency and execution of our science platform and tools
- Keep innovating for our customers. Foster an environment that promotes rapid experimentation, continuous learning, and incremental value delivery.

The Pricing & Promotions Science organization leverages planet scale multi-modal data on billions of Amazon and external competitor products to build advanced generative AI and machine learning systems for product similarity, substitutability, error detection & correction, and probabilistic price estimation, discovery and discount optimization, promotion & deal recommendation and ranking, and causal short & long term impact measurement. We preserve long term customer trust by ensuring Amazon's prices are always competitive and error free
