The Generative AI Org at Meta is seeking a strong technical leader to join our team and work on the next generation of Llama models. As a technical leader of our team, you will play a critical role in building state of the art LLMs. We have the opportunity to help people everywhere get stuff done better and faster. This year we open sourced Llama 2 and launched Meta AI. We will continue investing here to improve model quality and model capabilities.

Grow a team of domain experts within LLM Research of Generative AI

Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization

Drive execution of developing models and systems

Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects

Remain up-to-date on ongoing research and development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in leading research projects

Extensive hands on experience in large language model, NLP, and Transformer modeling, in the setting of both research and engineering development

Extensive experience supporting and leading teams of software engineers and research scientists

Proven technical vision in where the field of generative AI

Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions

Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in deep learning, artificial intelligence, and/or related technical field

Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.

Experience and knowledge of training LLMs
