Program Manager - Community

The future of search provides immediate answers, not links, from quality sources across the web. It explores the corners of the internet in real-time - from academic research to news articles. The answers are derived from trusted sources and include transparent citations.

Responsibilities

• Manage our Discord and Reddit online communities — promoting lively discussion and connection as the “on-the-ground” voice of Perplexity.
• Design, onboard, and launch our Ambassador program. Identify and partner with power searchers, strategic influencers, and content creators to help tell Perplexity’s story.
• Partner with our Growth, Business, and Product teams to get the word out about new launches and partnerships.
• Work closely with our Storytelling team to brainstorm content for specific use-cases; connect with power searchers that can contribute to this content.
• Be an incredible resource to our community members and provide value every day.
• Know our users’ needs better than anyone else and shape the company’s roadmap accordingly.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience launching growth initiatives, managing communities, and/or building out ambassador programs.
• Familiarity with community tools such as Discord, Circle, or Bevy and content creation tools like Canva, Midjourney, and Framer, and Figma.
• You have incredible taste when it comes to content strategy, positioning, and human-centered thinking.
• You’re a natural creative that can not only generate ideas, but also execute with precision and urgency.
• You’re motivated by aggressive timelines and thrive in a 0-to-1 environment.

The cash compensation for this role is $100,000 - $120,000.
