Product Manager I - Inpatient
Job Description
What we want to accomplish and why we need you
Suki is a leading technology company that provides AI voice solutions for healthcare. Our mission is to reimagine the healthcare technology stack, making it invisible and assistive to lift the administrative burden from clinicians. Our flagship product is Suki Assistant, an AI assistant that uses generative AI to automatically create clinical documentation by ambiently listening to patient-clinician conversations. We help clinicians complete notes 72% faster on average, assist with other tasks including coding and answering questions, and generate incremental revenue for organizations, delivering a 9x ROI in year 1. We also offer our proprietary AI and speech platform, Suki Platform, to partners who want to create best-in-class ambient and voice experiences for their solutions. Come and join us!
We are a user-driven company and are committed to making sure every pixel of our product is in service of clinicians. We’re a team of technologists, medical leaders, and industry experts working together to push the limits on technology used in medicine. We’re confident enough to move fast and talented enough not to break things. Check out this short video to learn more about our mission and our culture.
What will you do every day?
As an early member of the Suki product team, you will wear many hats. You will primarily contribute to our Inpatient initiative, transforming workflows for clinicians in hospitals via Suki’s AI and voice app suite.
In this role, you will oversee discovery, design, development and launch of various Suki solutions. You will track product success metrics and outcomes, and use these as a yardstick to continually refine our products. You will write excellent product specifications and work with engineering to ship your product. You will spend time with executive stakeholders, frontline clinicians and EHR vendors to learn from them, and improve our products. You will establish processes and structures that will enable us to execute at the next level of scale. You will work in close collaboration with our engineering leaders and assist in designing systems to teach our users to utilize the product better.
While you know how to work hard, you also know how to have fun at work, make friends with your colleagues, and contribute to our diverse and inclusive culture.
Ok, you're sold, but what are we looking for in the perfect candidate?
- Self-starter and action-oriented: You are energized by creating something new. You love to build. You know that perfect is the enemy of good – you like to ship fast and iterate quickly.
- Resilience and resourcefulness: You are not afraid of complexity (healthcare is famously complex to build for!) and obstacles, and will find ways to get things done.
- Execution Discipline: You have discipline to keep current priorities visible and on a path toward success, while keeping discussion and experimentation alive for the team. You have the appropriate balance of patience and impatience.
- Attention to detail: You sweat the small stuff, while keeping an eye on the larger experience.
- User-centered and empathetic: You are obsessed with the customer experience. You can translate key consumer needs into business and product requirements. You have an innate understanding of user behavior.
- An excellent communicator: you have strong written communication skills, write great product specs that engineers love to read, and are responsive.
- Passion for healthcare: You are as passionate about our mission, and about meaningfully impacting healthcare through technology and AI. You are knowledgeable about clinical workflows and healthcare data, yet not buoyed by their complexity and eager to learn more.
Responsibilities

- Key member of a fast-growing team with potential for significant, long-term impact on healthcare technology and the practice of medicine

- Strong experience defining functional and non-functional requirements of large scale products (enterprise SAAS or internet technology consumer products)
- Experience working on products with highly interactive mobile user experience and responsive interface design; experience with voice based interactions is a plus
- Can create and manage product roadmaps, prioritization, trade-offs; turn complex concepts into simplified product features that get to market and are adopted quickly
- Ability to build for our growth phase. Increase efficiency of development and design processes; facilitate smooth and predictable product launches
- Empathy for users and obsession with the customer experience. You can translate key consumer needs into business and product requirements. You have an innate understanding of user behavior.
