Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, talented, and inventive individual to join the Applied AI team and help build industry-leading technologies that customers will love. This team offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the customer experience and contribute to the design, architecture, and implementation of an AI empowered product.
The mission of the Applied AI team is to enable organizations within Worldwide Amazon.com Stores, Devices and other business units to accelerate the adoption of AI technologies across various parts of our business.
As a member of the Applied AI team, you will push the boundaries of advanced ML and Generative AI techniques to scale the inputs for hundreds of billions of dollars of annual revenue for our eCommerce business. If you have a passion for AI technologies, a drive to innovate and a desire to make a meaningful impact, we invite you to become a valued member of our team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in transforming how a large eCommerce organization continues to grow. Apply now and be part of our journey towards revolutionizing the way businesses operate with AI.
Key job responsibilities
As a Principal PMT (PPMT) in the Applied AI team, you empathize with our customers, and identify and formulate the problems we will solve. You work backwards from our customers to create a compelling product vision and a product strategy to solve complex business problems. You own the product roadmap and prioritize features to ensure your MVPs quickly add value for our customers. You are responsible for managing the lifecycle of your products and work independently with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders on defining, building, and delivering the right products. Your product requirements are concise, with clear, measurable success criteria. You are an effective negotiator, make smart trade-offs without sacrificing quality, and drive appropriate schedules. You use data to influence our business strategy and technical priorities, and escalate when necessary, without damaging relationships. You keep all your stakeholders up to date on your products, upcoming capabilities, and future plans. You independently represent your products and the team, and are comfortable communicating with executives as well as with business and technical stakeholders.
A day in the life
* Dive deep with your customers to identify and understand their painpoints.

* Deliver products on time with the right feature set and high quality.
* Evangelize your products and drive adoption.
* Think through all aspects of your products' life cycles, incl. business, technical, legal, and marketing.
* Help others grow professionally.
