Cohere is a dynamic and innovative AI company committed to building the world’s best LLMs for Enterprise. As a leader in our field, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Designer to join our creative team. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping and elevating our brand identity, design system, and digital presence.

We are looking for a seasoned Principal Designer with 10-12 years of extensive experience in branding and digital design. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in both agency and in-house settings, specifically with a focus on B2B products. This role demands a creative systems-oriented thinker and capable of leading the charge in developing and maintaining a cohesive brand and design system that is contextually appropriate across all touchpoints (web, marketing materials and product design).

Brand Identity and Design System:

- Develop and evolve the overall brand identity, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.

- Lead the creation and management of a comprehensive design system to maintain brand consistency across all platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate brand elements into product design and marketing materials as well as one-off communication needs

Website Redesign and Maintenance:

- Oversee the redesign and optimization of the company website for enhanced user experience and visual appeal.

- Ensure the website aligns with brand guidelines and effectively communicates the company's value proposition.

- Implement SEO best practices and stay updated on the latest digital design trends to enhance website performance.

Team Mentorship and Collaboration:

- Openness to mentoring designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

- Collaborate closely with marketing, product design, engineering and other departments to ensure cohesive brand representation across all channels.

Digital Focus:

-Drive digital-first design thinking, ensuring that all design initiatives are optimized for online platforms.

-Stay abreast of emerging technologies and design trends, integrating innovative solutions into digital strategies.

Experience:

- 10-12 years of professional experience in branding and digital design.

- Proven track record of successful projects in both agency and in-house environments.

- Demonstrated expertise in B2B product design.

Skills:

- Proficient in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma).

- Strong understanding of web design principles, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design.

- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

- Strong interest in the technology that drives Artificial Intelligence

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
