AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: The AMD NBIO Team is seeking a Power lead with good industry experiences to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD’s IP, you will be part of a high speed I/O virtualization team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the best-in-class low power product to market. The NBIO Team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.   THE PERSON:  You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Work with architect/manager/design lead to optimize our IP power from generation to generation Provide competitive power analysis of our IP, identify area for improvement and tradeoff Establish power bounding box for each project and align with SOC team Collaborate with Central team to collect power data throughout the development cycle Document power features, programming sequence and verification strategies Participate in post silicon power optimization and bring up PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Strong industry experience in low power design Knowledge in PowerArtist and other power analysis tools Must have good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills Understanding of system architecture and various system power states Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive changes to completion   ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering LOCATION: Markham, Vancouver, Ottawa #LI-TB2 #HYBRID Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
