People Operations Generalist (Contract)

Perplexity is looking for a People Ops Generalist to play a key role in various HR functions, ensuring that our employees feel supported, engaged, and empowered to do their best work.

This is a 3 month contract with potential to convert to full time. The cash compensation for this role is $50 per hour/40 hours a week.

Responsibilities

Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintaining accurate employee records and databases, including personnel files and benefits enrollment
Serving as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other related matters
Keeping abreast of HR trends and best practices and making recommendations for continuous improvement
Providing administrative support to the team as needed
Managing the end-to-end immigration process for international hires, including visa applications, work permits, and permanent residency applications
Serving as the primary point of contact for employees regarding immigration-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Partnering with external legal counsel and government agencies to obtain necessary documentation and approvals for immigration cases

Qualifications

2-4 years of Human Resources/People Operations experience, preferably at a high-growth tech company or start-up
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate a high level of professionalism with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment and a willingness to take on new challenges and initiatives

The cash compensation for this role is $50 per hour/40 hours a week.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Equity: In addition to the base salary, equity is part of the total compensation package.
