Why this role?
Oracle is one of our most important relationships. They offer comprehensive AI services and state-of-the-art generative AI innovations on their data platform and cloud application, and Cohere has developed deep and multi-dimensional relationships with multiple Oracle businesses. One of the most critical dimensions is how we partner to serve joint customers on their Gen AI transformations.
You will be the buck-stops-here leader for all matters related to our partnership with Oracle, including but not limited to, architecting the partnership strategy, technical integration, marketing campaigns, sales plays, enablement, pipeline generation and management, agreements, and business outcomes. You will work closely with Cohere’s partner solution architects and partner marketing teams as well as our Legal, Finance, Product, Sales, and Engineering teams to deliver on our joint goals with Oracle.
Please note: To qualify for this role, you MUST have a deep understanding of how Oracle, especially OCI, manages its partnerships.

In this role, you will:
Foster and nurture the alliance with Oracle/OCI, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and mutual value creation.
Develop and execute a comprehensive alliance strategy and business plan. Identify key growth areas, market opportunities, and co-innovation initiatives. Drive initiatives to expand and deepen the collaboration for mutual growth.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Oracle/OCI organizational structure, decision drivers and influencers, partnership frameworks, programs, and collaboration models. Leverage this knowledge to enhance our joint initiatives.
Bring prior experience in scaling partnerships, preferably with Oracle. Track record in a start-up environment is preferred, but not necessary.
Take a hands-on approach to drive the execution of alliance activities by striking a balance between ownership and delegation. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of joint projects.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on the success and impact of the alliance. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize outcomes.
Build relationships and collaborate extensively with all relevant stakeholders at Cohere, Oracle, other partners in the ecosystem.
