Packaging Mechanical Intern (FEA focused)
Mission: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical intern to join our high-impact hardware packaging team. this role is ideal for a self-driven, technically proficient engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and system integration at the silicon, server, and datacenter level.
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
- Collaborate with a global team to define, design, and integrate mechanical systems for silicon devices and server products.
- Lead mechanical development efforts across server design, system architecture, rack-level integration, and cooling solutions.
- Perform mechanical modeling in package, system level, including solder joint reliability, thermomechanical stress, fluid-solid-interaction, shock and vib modeling, multiphysics modeling
- Contribute to post-silicon development through test planning, characterization to correlate modeling results
- Drive the continuous improvement of mechanical design processes and workflows.
- Champion innovation by introducing new mechanical design concepts, technologies, and methodologies.
- Use independent judgment and initiative to solve complex mechanical challenges and influence product direction.
Ideal candidates have/are:
- Proficient with Ansys workbench, optislang and relevant simulation software
- Basic understanding of electronic packages in HPC applications
- Experience with test setup and model to hardware correlation
- Basic coding skills to automate the flow

Compensation: The US pay range for our technical internships is $30-$50 / per hour. The pay range for our non-technical internships is $30-$40 / per hour. Compensation is determined by your location, skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks. This range is specific to roles in the United States, compensation for candidates outside the USA will be dependent on the local market.
