Overview
We’re looking for a talented Motion Designer (Contractor) to join our marketing team and help bring our brand and product stories to life. As a contractor, you will collaborate closely with design and product stakeholders to create motion assets that resonate with our audiences and elevate our visual communication. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about storytelling through motion, thrives on creativity, and is confident navigating from concept to final animation across a wide range of formats.
What You’ll Do
Create high-impact motion graphics. Design and animate 2D and 3D motion content for product explainers, social media, website, video intros/outros, product walkthroughs, event assets, and more.
Storyboard and visualize concepts. Develop visual concepts and storyboards that communicate ideas clearly and creatively before jumping into production.
Collaborate across disciplines. Work alongside brand designers, video editors, product marketing, and other teams to align motion assets with strategic narratives and brand guidelines.
Contribute to visual language development. Help define and refine our motion design principles and expand our style guide to include dynamic motion systems and reusable templates.
Adapt and optimize for platforms. Format and optimize deliverables for different use cases (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, web) while ensuring high production quality and consistency.
What You’ll Bring
A strong portfolio showcasing your motion design work, especially in 2D and 3D animation (After Effects, Illustrator, etc.)
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator) and familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.
Experience working independently and managing multiple projects in fast-paced, agile environments.
Ability to translate abstract concepts or technical ideas into clear, engaging visual stories
Understanding of timing, pacing, and narrative flow in animation.
A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills to thrive in a cross-functional setting.
A foundation in graphic design, illustration, or branding.
Prior experience working with healthtech, AI, or enterprise SaaS brands.
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience creating templates, toolkits, or scalable motion systems for design teams.
Skills in video editing or sound design.
