ML Engineer (Intern), Retail AI

Who We Are
Pricing Machine Learning Engineering is a globally distributed team responsible for developing scalable, high-performance AI/ML solutions to ensure Coupang offer the best possible prices within a highly convenient and personalized shopping environment to wow our customers. We build state of the art ML and DL models for automatic, real-time product mapping on all Coupang products and for automatic retail solutions. We own end to end auto product mapping services and work closely with Product Management, Operation and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Applies reinforcement learning, combinatorial MAB, modern optimization and other quantitative methods to optimize resource allocation.
Understand business problem to design reward and value functions.
Implement solution in production system under the supervision of senior members
Collaborate with other Coupang tech teams to make the service extensible to unlock opportunities for innovations.

Basic Qualifications:
Masters' majoring in Computer Science, Statistics, Operation Research
Active research and publication records
Excellent communication skills, good read/write skills in English
