Lead Software Engineer
Job Description
What will you be doing?
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to independently lead development of full-stack solutions, with an emphasis on .NET and React
- Bring modern development practices with React, C# and AI to modernize, simplify, and reduce the footprint of our existing Ruby on Rails application
- Mentor colleagues through advice, coaching, and training
- Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications
- Apply the best software development practices including code standards and architectural decisions
Who are we looking for?
- A degree qualified in a field related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working in a full-stack development team
- A track record of learning new technology, understanding how and when to apply it to problems, and an ability to teach it to others
- Dedication to using AI tools to tackle problems and improve development processes
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks: React, Vue.Js, or Angular
- Experience with C# or another strongly-typed language for server-side development
- Solid understanding of Relational Storage technologies: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Experience designing, implementing, and leading execution of software solutions alongside other developers
- A curiosity about the business and a desire to tackle the problems our clients are facing
It would also be great if you have:
- Software delivery experience in a SaaS environment
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code experience, such as Terraform or Cloud Formation
- Experience with Databricks
- Modern service design & development experience
