Role

As a security engineering intern, you will help Intrinsic’s security team scale and automate its vulnerability management program. You will help deploy security scanners and monitoring tools to help detect vulnerabilities early on in the development process. You will also work closely with the security and engineering teams to alert and remediate the vulnerabilities.

How your work moves the mission forward

Implement deploy and automate security scanning tools in CI/CD (SAST, Dependency scanning)
Triage, prioritize and help remediate misconfigurations and vulnerabilities
Help automate vulnerability detection and alerting
Assist the security team with security assessments

Skills you will need to be successful

Bachelor’s student in Computer Science or related field required (Master's students preferred)
Knowledge and proficiency in modern software development like Python, Go etc
Familiarity with one or multiple of these areas: security code scanners, vulnerability management, application security, penetration testing, security automation
Effective coordination skills for complicated software development efforts across teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills

The hourly rate for this position is $58.65 + benefits. Rates are determined by role, level, location, and education. Your recruiter will share more about the specific hourly rate for this role during the hiring process.
