Role

Automation processes using robots can range from a few simple steps to complex interactions involving robot motions, perception, tool changing, or force-based actions. In process authoring, the relevant actions must be identified, parameterized, and orchestrated to give robots the ability to fulfill a goal envisioned by a human. In this internship you have the opportunity to facilitate process authoring by combining natural language inputs, agentic AI, and task planning to simplify user interaction and advance the state-of-the-art.

How your work moves the mission forward

Combine agentic AI and task planning to make creating behavior trees faster and simpler.
Contribute towards the development of robotics software (including our platform Flowstate).
Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals in modern software development practices.
Explore and implement solutions in software development in Python.
Employ the latest models in Generative AI for process authoring.

Skills you will need to be successful

PhD student in Computer Science or related field required, ideally with background in task planning.
Knowledge and proficiency in modern software development in Python.
Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems in full-stack software, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
Experience in implementing systems using large language models to solve meaningful tasks.
Knowledge of task planning required, ideally even combined with motion planning
Knowledge about building LLM-based agent systems required.
