With top-line revenue growth and an increase in the absolute dollar value of expenditures expected for years to come, we are looking to hire a Global Procurement Category Manager to assist our Procure to Pay team in building out a global procurement strategy and centralized function that will scale with the growth of the Company.
The Global Procurement Category Manager - AI and G&A will negotiate and manage Supplier Relationships, Cost Optimization, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk & Compliance Performance & Reporting. The goal is to consolidate the supply base, drive and coordinate the review, negotiation and administration of high value Procurement Contracts, including all Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and General & Administrative (G&A) services. Beyond traditional procurement, this individual will serve as a strategic thought leader, proactively collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide insights that holistically inform business decisions, shape budget planning, and anticipate future needs to drive overall company success.This is a new role within P2P where you will have the opportunity to build something new and make a lasting impact in driving value for our US and International teams.
The Day to Day
- Provide global strategy and support for Procurement for the AI and G&A categories.
- Act as a liaison between internal customers and vendors to efficiently drive the contract review and approval process to completion.
- Oversee and validate Category Specialist contract reviews for high-value agreements, ensuring the accuracy of all company agreements (NDAs, Service Agreements, Insertion Orders, SaaS, etc.) and the precise capture of all negotiated terms in compliance with corporate standards and legal principles.
- Cultivates and manages strategic supplier relationships within the AI ecosystem, necessitating an in-depth knowledge of AI development lifecycles, intellectual property, and performance metrics for complex technology solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams in high-value contract negotiations to strategically improve supplier pricing and terms, proactively identifying and securing significant cost savings.
- Solid knowledge of contract language standards, Statement Of Works and negotiation experience, develops communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of negotiation progress.
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing, and review cost reduction activities.
- Engage regularly with key business stakeholders through recurring meetings and Procurement roadshows.
- Schedule and host Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with top vendors and the business.
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships through collaborative communications.
- Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous and business improvements. Customer centric.
- Drive adherence to team SLAs and metrics, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency in all deliverables.
Your Expertise and Passion
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. 8+ years related contract work experience.
- Experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies for AI technologies and services, encompassing needs assessment, market research, vendor selection, and contract negotiation.
- Deep understanding of software licensing, intellectual property rights, and general contract law, with a strong emphasis on Cloud/SaaS subscription models.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate contract concepts effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Contract negotiation experiences are required.
- International business experience is required.
- Previous experience with a SaaS technology company is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of a Contract Lifecycle Management tool and P2P system.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to develop close working relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
- Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to effectively multi-task, reprioritize and work proactively and independently to meet deadlines and drive agreements to conclusion.
- Strong customer focus, a passion for producing high-quality work.
- Has working knowledge of commonly-used procurement concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures for the end-to-end P2P process.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills, coupled with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literate, Coupa, Netsuite with advanced MS Office and Google Suite knowledge.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures for the end-to-end P2P process.
Cash compensation range: 111500-178400 USD Annually
Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
