So, we are working on training and scaling up multimodal foundation models for systems that can see and understand, show and explain, and eventually interact with our world to effect change.

In this unique role you will make an impact across a wide range of software engineering teams. You will drive the development and implementation of best practices for qualifying end-to-end features powered by machine learning and foundation models. You will also build novel software prototypes, tools, and applications to improve the quality of our operating systems using foundation models.

The pay range for this position in California is $130,000 - $210,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience. We also offer competitive equity packages in the form of stock options and a comprehensive benefits plan.

Experience

5+ years of relevant experience in software quality assurance.

Strong programming skills using standard ML tools such as Python, PyTorch, Pandas or Javascript.

Experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) GitHub Actions, practices using Git/Jenkins .Understanding of web browser or mobile app QA concepts and key infoHands-on experience using large foundation models (e.g. LLMs) and associated tool chains (e.g. langchain) and APIs to build applications, tools and workflows for production.

Experience with methodical approaches to software testing for features powered by machine learning.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with other engineers, managers, teams, and organizations within Luma AI.

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the capacity to iterate on shared ideas with partner engineers and teams.
