Perplexity is looking for an experienced UI Engineer to join our small team revolutionizing the way people search and interact with the internet. You will be responsible for building UI for the future of how people ask questions and find information.
Our frontend stack is TypeScript and NextJS. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills, the ability to prototype and build UI from scratch, an interest in search and large language models, and a passion for delivering blazing fast web experiences.
Responsibilities
- Developing new user interfaces for Perplexity's evolving technologies.
- Iterate closely with design to build new interfaces.
- Maintaining and polish existing user interfaces for current products.
- Creating reusable component libraries that drive Perplexity's front-end.
- Leading decisions on tool usage and coding best practices.
QualificationsÂ
- Strong experience with TypeScript.
- Strong experience with CSS.
- Experience with NextJS.
- Passion for writing reusable code.
- Knowledgeable about performance optimization.
- Thrives in a small, agile team and is willing to take ownership.
- Determined to build great experiences by getting the details right.
- 4+ years of industry experience.

Our cash compensation range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000.

Building upon our Series A earlier this year, we’ve now raised $100 million to date.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
