The Role: 

We're seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team part-time in Sydney. In this role, you will take ownership of Leonardo’s accounting. From managing monthly/quarterly tax submissions and overseeing payroll processes to refining bookkeeping tasks and generating insightful financial statements. 

What you'll do:

• Lead our tax compliance by providing accurate and timely tax returns in adherence with regulatory standards.

• Prepare, review and lodge our BAS & Payroll Tax submissions.

• Prepare & file annual financial statements. 

• Maintain effective financial / management accounting records.

• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities. 

• Assist with navigating audits.

• General bookkeeping transactions reconciliation.

• Identify and recommend improvements in financial processes to enhance and streamline financial workflows.

Skills we like:

• CA/CPA qualified with a Relevant tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance

• At least three years experience in an Accounting/Finance role within an established market-leading organisation

• Expert knowledge of relevant accounting and tax regulations, compliance standards and industry awards

• Ability to work independently and take initiative to problem-solve 

• Commercial experience using Xero accounting and payroll software

• Previous exposure to G-Suite

• Demonstrates strong commercial acumen, attention to detail and communication skills.

• Available Mondays and Fridays as part of a 2-3 day working week.
