We're hiring an Enterprise IT Systems Engineer to manage our technology infrastructure, integrate systems, enhance security, and administer platforms company-wide.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Enterprise IT & Systems Engineer who will serve as the go-to expert for IT operations across Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Okta, and endpoint management. This role will lead the setup, integration, security hardening, and administration of our collaboration, identity, and endpoint platforms. The ideal candidate is a technical "ninja" with deep expertise in enterprise SaaS administration, identity management, and Mac device management, and thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration and consolidation of Slack workspaces into an Enterprise Grid environment, ensuring secure configurations and a seamless user experience.
- Implement and configure Okta as the organization's identity provider, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and IDP federation with external services.
- Serve as the Google Workspace administrator, managing organizational units, security settings, access controls, and integrations.
- Develop and enforce security and governance policies across Slack, Google Workspace, and Okta in alignment with compliance requirements (SOC 2, HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Manage endpoint devices, including provisioning, security configurations, updates, and deprovisioning.
- Oversee IT-related onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring new hires and departures are handled securely and efficiently.
- Manage license procurement, renewals, and vendor relationships for IT tools in coordination with Finance.
- Monitor, audit, and report on platform usage, security incidents, and compliance metrics.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations, processes, and system architecture.
- Act as the escalation point for complex IT issues across supported systems.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience administering Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, and Okta in an enterprise environment.
- Proven experience with identity federation, SCIM provisioning, and MFA/SSO integrations.
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS management, firewall configuration, and VPN setup.
- Experience with email administration, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC implementation.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint administration and tier 1-2 support.
- Strong understanding of SaaS security best practices and compliance requirements in regulated industries.
- Experience managing IT onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Familiarity with vendor management, license tracking, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity issues and maintaining network infrastructure.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading post-merger integration of Slack workspaces into Slack Enterprise Grid.
- Experience with Okta-to-Okta integration in post-merger scenarios, including Org-to-Org setup.
- Experience integrating Okta with various external identity providers in multi-company environments.
- Proven success leading Google Workspace consolidation and integration following mergers and acquisitions.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for technology stack consolidation across multiple companies.
