Engineering Manager, Platform & Infrastructure

This requires building and managing software infrastructure that can not only support the millions of active daily users on our site today but handle the product’s reliability, scalability, and performance as we grow our user base to humanity scale.

What you’ll do

• Be both a highly technical and incredibly effective people manager for the team's building the software infrastructure that supports Character.AI’s web and mobile products 

• Drive roadmap creation and execution and participate in technical design discussions

• Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing high performing and highly technical teams building scalable distributed systems

• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams including: performance management, upleveling individuals & teams, and building and/or fostering team culture

• Experience working in a consumer company either as an IC or manager
