About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
At Salesforce, we’re on a mission to deliver a frictionless, world-class development environment for over 12,000 engineers. As Director of Product, Internal AI Developer Experience, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and adoption of AI solutions that power our internal developer ecosystem. This high-impact individual contributor role will drive the delivery of AI products and platforms that transform how our engineers build at scale. You’ll move at high velocity to experiment, innovate, and create AI agents and platforms, partnering closely with engineering and executive leadership to ensure our developers have the most advanced, effective tools to accelerate innovation.
The Person:
You are a visionary product leader who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and developer productivity. You get energy from solving complex problems for engineers at scale, and you understand that adoption is as important as innovation. You’re equally comfortable in deep technical discussions with AI engineers as you are inspiring executives with a compelling product vision.
You operate at high velocity experimenting, iterating, and learning fast, while still keeping a long-term view of where AI can take developer experience in a large enterprise. You don’t just follow AI trends; you anticipate what’s next and move quickly to turn emerging capabilities into tangible tools that developers love.
You excel at building trust, championing change, and rallying diverse stakeholders behind a shared mission. Most importantly, you’re passionate about giving thousands of engineers the AI superpowers they need to innovate faster and more effectively than ever before.
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of product management experience or related technical role
5+ years of experience with SaaS/B2B
Demonstrable, technical expertise with advanced AI, including LLMs, and familiarity with RAG. Able to anticipate emerging capabilities and work credibly with technical teams.
Proven track record of delivering tools that developers adopt and love.
Proven success in driving adoption of developer tooling through advocacy, training, and cultural change in organizations of thousands of engineers.
Exceptional communication skills, able to distill complex technical concepts for both executives and engineers.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring clarity and alignment across large organizations.
Data-driven decision-making skills, with experience using analytics to guide product choices.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
In this position you will:
Define and Champion the Vision – Establish and articulate a clear product vision, roadmap, and strategic plan for AI-powered developer productivity, spanning IDE integrations, code assistants, agentic workflows, and autonomous agents. Ensure alignment with engineering priorities, security/compliance requirements, and evolving developer needs.
Identify and Prioritize High-Impact Opportunities – Use data, developer feedback, and productivity analytics to identify the highest ROI use cases for AI in the software development lifecycle. Advocate for these opportunities within the organization and ensure they are resourced appropriately.
Drive Requirements from Real Developer Workflows – Translate developer pain points, insights from pilot programs, AI tool usage analytics, and engineering productivity metrics into actionable product requirements. Balance rapid delivery with long-term scalability while accounting for the evolving capabilities and limitations of AI models.
Orchestrate Cross-Functional Delivery – Partner with Engineering, Research, UX, Security, Dev Training teams to design, implement, and iterate on AI-driven features that measurably improve developer efficiency. Act as the bridge between complex AI technology and practical developer use cases through clear communication and strong technical empathy.
Lead Early Adopter & Pilot Programs – Manage internal early adopter groups across multiple AI initiatives to validate value, gather feedback, identify risks, and build internal champions. Use these learnings to refine product direction and accelerate enterprise-wide adoption.
Enable Adoption & Change Management – Own the enablement strategy for AI product rollouts across thousands of engineers. Work with our training organization to create playbooks, training, and internal advocacy programs to drive awareness, trust, and sustained adoption; ensuring AI tools become a seamless part of the developer workflow.
Stay Ahead of AI Capabilities for Developer Productivity – Maintain deep technical understanding of LLMs, RAG, code generation, autonomous agents, and evaluation frameworks. Run rapid prototyping cycles with engineering partners to test new capabilities, evaluate performance, and accelerate time-to-value for high-impact use cases.
Measure, Learn, and Iterate – Define and track success metrics for AI developer tools (e.g., cycle time reduction, AI code acceptance rate, PR size trends). Use these insights to inform product direction, adjust priorities, and ensure measurable productivity improvements.
Communicate with Impact – Serve as both the internal “voice of the developer” and the external-facing advocate for AI developer productivity. Clearly communicate product vision, capabilities, and value to engineering leadership, stakeholders, and the broader developer community.
Adapt to a Rapidly Evolving AI Landscape – Navigate technical and strategic uncertainty by making fast, data-driven decisions, pivoting when needed, and continuously refining the AI productivity strategy to reflect emerging models, enterprise policies, and developer needs.
