A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.
As a Data Scientist for Marketplace, you will leverage your expertise in product data science, reporting and metrics, and experimentation to build robust data foundations that help us deeply understand platform activity and build the best avatar marketplace for our users. - Lead the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to inform product decisions for Marketplace and provide dedicated experimentation support for high-impact initiatives across the broader Economy organization.
- Architect and build robust data pipelines to support analytics, reporting, and modeling needs.
- Conduct opportunity sizing and deep-dive analyses to understand user behavior and identify growth opportunities.
- Contribute to the team's science roadmap by identifying key areas for analysis and experimentation.
You have:
- 4+ years of industry experience in data science, product analytics, or a related quantitative role.
- Expertise in SQL and experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.
- Proficiency in developing data pipelines and working with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive, Airflow).
- Strong experience in experimental design (A/B testing), statistical analysis, and metric definition.
- A proven track record of translating complex data into actionable insights and communicating them to stakeholders.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
You are:
- A strong communicator. You can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and lead spirited discussions about your findings.
- Product-oriented. You are passionate about understanding user behavior and using data to build better products.
- Adept at simplifying complex and ambiguous problems to identify actionable insights for the business.
- Collaborative. You enjoy working in a team environment and partnering with product managers and engineers across the Economy group.
- Candid and evidence-seeking. You are motivated to update your beliefs based on new data and tackle new challenges.
