THE ROLE:
As a member of the Cores Hudson Valley Design Center, you will help bring to life AMD's next generation cutting-edge designs. As part of the Cores Hudson Valley Design Center, you will work closely with the CPU architecture, IP design, RTL, and product teams to implement microprocessors for our future offerings.
THE PERSON:
Demonstrates expertise in the development of advanced integrated circuits and/or working knowledge of SAPR tools and flows and optimization techniques for power, performance and area. The candidate is detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills. The candidate is a team player with a positive attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Logic and Circuit design
- Circuit simulation and modeling
- Synthesis, autoplace and route
- Timing analysis and optimization
- Physical verification (DRC/ERC/LVS)
- Power analysis and optimization
- Post silicon support to ensure successful bring up and enhance yield learning
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Custom high speed digital/analog/mixed signal circuit design
- Knowledge of a scripting language like Tcl, Perl, Shell, Python
- Knowledge of a register transfer language like Verilog or VHDL
- Hands on experience in transistor and gate level simulation i.e. spice/spectre OR SAPR/ASIC design tools flow and physical verification
- Familiarity with the silicon design cycle from concept through tapeout and silicon validation
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
