MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

・Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation by the end of March 2028

※Must be in school until the end of internship program

・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2026 (During the internship, remote is not eligible.)

・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)

・International students who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements:

　　・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation

　　・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program

　　・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application

WORKING CONDITIONS

・Start Date: June 1, 2026, August 3, 2026

・Internship Duration: 3 months

・Expected work hours: 5 days (40 hours/week), depending on visa and class scheduling, some flexibility for shorter hours may be available

・Salary Type: Hourly wage

・Work Location: Nihombashi (head office)

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking highly self-motivated research interns with expertise in computer vision and broad engineering skills managing both software and hardware to join our Tokyo-based team for building next generation Artificial Intelligence technology. Our projects include a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, including 3D scene understanding of real-world environments, innovative interfaces that bridge the real and virtual worlds, such as AI agents powered by augmented reality and large-language model, designed to influence human behavior and enhance human-computer interaction, and advanced pipelines for human perception and motion capture to explore the potential of remote communication and interactions. In addition to application-driven development, the team is actively engaged in academic research and encourages contributions to the research community through publications and other outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop novel algorithms for computer vision applications, by connecting research elements into product and business through rapid prototyping, and present research findings both internally and externally

Design, prototype, and develop applications that enhance human-computer interaction by leveraging both geometric and semantic understanding of the surrounding environment, in close collaboration with researchers and backend/frontend engineers

Explore and build novel interfaces, such as web, mobile devices, robots, glasses, and the city infrastructure

Collaborate with world-class researchers to try experimental ideas and publish papers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, statistics, electrical engineering, other related, with an expected graduation by the end of March 2028

Programming experience in Python and proficiency in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English

NICE TO HAVES

Experience in developing algorithms in the field of augmented reality, visual re-localization and/or pose estimation, scene reconstruction and spatial reasoning, generative AI, agentic AI, and 3D Computer Vision

Research experience in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, or human-computer interactions with a track record of publications at top-tier conferences or journals, e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, CHI, ISMAR, VR, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, IROS, ICRA, etc.

Experience in development of any LLM and Generative AI services/products is a great plus

Experience in training deep learning models on large datasets

Experience in creating high-performance and scalable implementations of deep learning algorithms
