About the Team
The Communications team at OpenAI is a group of seasoned professionals in PR/media relations, public policy, employee communications, community and audience development, design and other external-facing functions. We work to educate reporters, policymakers, researchers, developers, customers and the general public about OpenAI, our values and our technology. Â
About the Role
We’re looking for a member of the Communications team to manage and contribute to strategies that strengthen OpenAI’s connections with key communities and help us reach new audiences. This role will be responsible for developing an engaging presence on social media platforms including Twitter and Reddit, and will collaborate with HR and Recruiting to drive activity on LinkedIn. In addition, the person in this role will help OpenAI become a more active participant in diverse, inclusive communities and facilitate conversations on issues of scientific and social importance within the field of AI and beyond. This will include developing an ongoing series of talks hosted by OpenAI, with the goal of publishing as an external-facing podcast.

8+ years of professional experience in journalism, communications, or a related field.
You possess expertise in crafting and leading social media campaigns.
You are committed to exceptional strategy and storytelling quality.
You show a keen interest in AI technology and are eager to expand your knowledge in this area.
You have a strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and have contributed to or led initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
