Commercial Strategy & Operations Manager
Job Description
About the Role
We’re looking for a high-performing, analytical, and polished candidate to support our Commercial Strategy & Operations team through a period of transformational growth. As we integrate Thoughtful AI, Access Healthcare, and SmarterDX into a unified platform company, you’ll play a critical role in driving post-merger integration efforts, optimizing operational performance, and delivering data-driven insights across key initiatives.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with direct exposure to executive leadership, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll begin by supporting the Director of Commercial Operations and quickly grow into owning initiatives and driving workstreams across the business.
What You’ll Do - Own the Commercial “Operating System”
- Orchestrate post‑merger execution: Lead cross‑functional teams to align sales, incentives, processes, and dashboards for the unified Thoughtful AI + Access Healthcare + SmarterDX platform.
- Engineer the revenue engine: Redesign the full funnel - from marketing to renewals - to shrink cycle times and lift conversion by double digits.
- Own the single source of truth: Build executive‑grade dashboards and Sales scorecards that surface real‑time ARR, gross margin, and unit economics.
- Run revenue planning & pricing: Model demand, quota, compensation, and deal economics for a $100 M+ book; advise the C‑suite on “what moves the needle.”
- Incubate 0→1 growth bets: Launch and hand off initiatives like usage‑based billing, churn‑prediction models, and partner marketplaces.
- Multiply impact: Craft board‑ready narratives, coach Sales leaders on data‑driven execution, and recruit the next wave of Commercial Strategy & Ops talent.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, strategy & operations, or similar analytical role. Healthcare/RCM experience is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling, financial analysis, etc.). SQL proficiency or interest in learning is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience building dashboards, reports, and presentations that influence executive decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive presence and comfort interfacing with customers and leadership.
- Strong project management skills and a bias toward action in ambiguous environments.
- Based in Austin, TX (4 days a week in office).
