Responsibilities
The long-term goal of this role is to build and maintain Ataraxis backend: infrastructure, databases infra/ops/ETL, integrations.
In the first few months of the role, you will own implementation and enforcement of all security & privacy controls for quality and regulatory frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, FDA, CE).
Generate and maintain system infrastructure and data flow diagrams.
Qualifications
Strong backend development skills with Python proficiency.
Solid understanding of databases, operating systems, networking, distributed computing.
Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
Preferred experience: PyTorch, Terraform, ML orchestration, AI inference optimization, Docker.
Experienced with modern software development stack (Cursor/other AI IDEs), heavily leaning on using AI tools to iterate quickly.
Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and verbally. You should document your code, work and progress thoroughly and consistently.
Experience with quality, compliance and regulatory (especially for software as a medical device) is nice to have but not required.
