The Opportunity
Adobe is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who will apply AI and machine learning techniques to large-scale visual and multimodal data to help shape the future of creativity. Partnering with research and product teams, the candidate will build innovative products that push the boundaries of generative AI for images, video, and multimodal experiences—empowering creators to bring their ideas to life in entirely new ways.
By leveraging advanced deep learning architectures, generative modeling techniques, and optimization methods, the candidate will contribute to the research and development of foundational generation models, video editing and inpainting, image-to-video synthesis, multimodal storytelling, and real-time creative AI workflows. Work will also involve developing robust evaluation models and curating high-quality datasets to support large-scale model training and benchmarking.
Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background, software engineering skills, and expertise in deep learning and generative modeling. A track record of impactful research demonstrated through publications in top-tier conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, or NeurIPS is highly valued. Proficiency in the modern software stack for modeling—such as Python and PyTorch—is expected, and familiarity with evaluation frameworks and data curation pipelines is a strong plus.
What You’ll Do
- Develop state-of-the-art generative models for images, video, and multimodal content using advanced deep learning architectures, computer vision, and generative modeling techniques.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable modeling, evaluation, and data curation pipelines that enable training and deployment of high-quality generative models in production.
- Collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to prototype and deliver innovative creative AI features for Adobe’s next-generation tools.
What You Need to Succeed
- PhD or MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0–2+ years of research or industry experience in relevant areas.
- Deep understanding of modern computer vision, machine learning, and generative modeling techniques (e.g., diffusion models, transformers, VAEs, GANs) with a track record of solving challenging problems.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Experience with state-of-the-art machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow, and libraries such as scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with evaluation methodologies, benchmark dataset creation, and data curation pipelines for generative models.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
